    Capt. Peter Sears, from Halifax, married Susanna Colman of Scituate 1777, and settled on the John Bryant place north of Hoop-pole hill Cedar swamp. He was an officer in the Revolutionary war, viz. Capt. in the corps of Mechanicks.
On 25 Mar 1777 when Peter was 23, he married Susanna Collamore (38995) , daughter of Isaac Collamore (59611) (24 Jul 1707-1759) & Thankful Curtis (19602) (17 Jan 1707/8-), in Scituate, MA.52 Born on 28 Jul 1751 in Scituate, MA.52 Susanna was baptized in First Congegational Church of Hanover, on 4 Aug 1751.446 Susanna died in Scituate, MA, on 11 Jun 1824; she was 72.52 Buried in South Parish Cemetery, Norwell.

From the printed vital records of Scituate: Peter (int. Seers) Sears and Susa Callmon (int. Mrs. Susannah Collamer), married Mar. 25 (1777).52 The actual written town records have “Peter Sears & Susa Collmo[*], both of Scituate” where the * looks as much like “re” as “n”.
