55 Born on 23 Jul 1750 in New Haven, CT.56 At the age of 24, Ebenezer was baptized in St James, Derby, CT, on 2 Apr 1775. Ebenezer was baptized as an adult the same day two of his children, unnamed, were baptized. Another of his children, also unnamed, was baptized at St James on 1 Feb 1787. Occupation: farmer.
Ebenezer was of Bethany when he married his first wife Abigail. There are no vital records, and the only baptizmal records naming a child are for “Mittee, Chancey, and Jabesh, children of Ebenr Hitchcock” in Oct 1782, it is unclear the order of birth of the children.
The Genealogy of the Hitchcock Family409 says that Ebenezer “is also said to have married (?) 2d, Sarah Morris.”
