On 3 May 1808 when Josiah Howe was 23, he married Charlotte Cushing (61612) , daughter of Hawke Cushing (52175) (13 Feb 1744-16 Feb 1825) & Ruth Cushing (52054) (24 Apr 1747-Jul 1788), in Boston, MA. Born on 12 Jul 1786 in Scituate, MA.52 Charlotte died in Milton, MA, on 21 Oct 1881; she was 95.
