The 1929 Twitchell Genealogy states that Enoch and Abiah Twitchell had a daughter, Charity, born 1781, who married an Abner Carter on 26 Feb 1799 but no Clarinda is mentioned. neither of these daughters are mentioned in the Derby vital records. However, the will of Joseph Twitchell, recorded 4 Sep 1797 mentions a Polly and Clarinda as the daughters of his son, Enoch. The Loveland Genealogy490 states that Clarinda was born on 21 Jul 1781, but the source of that information is not given. It appears that Charity and Clarinda are the same person.530

An obituary of Clarinda Loveland appeared in the Broome Republican 1 Mar 1843; Windsor Town Historian.

Joseph Loveland (18 Feb 1739-16 Jul 1816) & Lois Chatfield (8 Feb 1738/9-), in Oxford, CT.490 Born on 25 Aug 1778 in Oxford, CT.490 Arnold was baptized in Derby, CT, on 30 Aug 1778.
