There’s another family living at the same household, but it’s hard to read, perhaps surname Scador?

The 1875 Land ownership maps show where J. Welch’s farm was. It’s on the West Barnet Road a little west of the I 91 intersection, across the street from where Patneuaude Lane meets West Barnet Road. J. Welch Jr’s farm was the next farm closer to Barnet Center.
