Obituary. George H. Ballard
    Died on the 15th of March 1858, in Canfield township at the residence of his father-in-law, Mr. C. A. Bunnell, Mr. G. H. Ballard, formerly of the State of Massachusetts, and late of Ravenna, Ohio, age 31 years. He suffered his sickness with great patience. His remains were followed by a large concourse of citizens to the village burial ground, and there deposited to await the sound of the last trumpet.

    Mrs. Jane Taylor, widow of Wm. Taylor, a civil war veteran, died suddenly Wednesday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W.S. Watson, in Youngstown, of paralysis. The deceased was a daughter of the late Charles Bunnell and was born in Canfield in 1841. Here she resided until 15 years ago when she went to Youngstown to live with her daughter. Funeral services Saturday morning at 9 o'clock will be conducted by Rev. J.L. Miller, pastor of Grace Lutheran church. The remains will be brought to Canfield for burial.

    Home Happenings - Mrs. Annie M. Turnbull, widow of Thomas Turnbull, died Monday at the home of her niece, Mrs. W. S. Watson, in Youngstown. Deceased was born in Canfield August 25th, 1840. She leaves one brother, Ira Bunnell, of Ft. Wayne, the last member of one of Canfield's oldest families. Mrs. Turnbull's remains were brought here Wednesday and laid to rest in the village cemetery.
On 4 Jul 1860 when Ann May was 19, she married Thomas Turnbull in Mahoning County, Ohio. Born in 1833 in Scotland. Thomas died in Canfield, Mahoning County, Ohio on 3 Aug 1896. Buried in Canfield Village Cemetery.

In 1860 Thomas was living with the family of Charles Bunnell whose daughter he would marry later that year.

    Home & County News - Thomas Turnbull died at his home on High street Monday morning of dropsy and heart trouble, aged 63 years. The deceased was a native of Scotland but for many years had resided in this county. He moved to Canfield from Youngstown a year ago last spring. A widow survives him. Funeral services Wednesday afternoon were conducted by Dr. Dickson, and Tod Post, GAR of which the deceased was an honored member. Burial in the village cemetery.

65261. Horace Dillon Bunnell. Born ca 1842 in Canfield, Mahoning County, Ohio. Horace Dillon died in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky on 22 May 1863. Buried in Canfield Village Cemetery.

The Mahoning Herald of 17 June 1863 states; Died Horace Bunnell in a hospital in Louisvill, Kentucky of Diarrhea. He was a member of Capt. Braff’s Co., 125 OVI and the son of Charles A. He was buried in the Canfield graveyard.

He enlisted as a musician on 20 Aug 1862 at the age of 20. Then he enlisted in Company A, 125th infantry on 16 Sep 1862.
