Laible, of the township of Iosco, Livingston County, Michigan, all my interest in and to the estate of Thomas Sager, Deceased, my father, giving and granting unto my said sister, Amanda E. Laible, full power and authority to take and receive from the administrator of said estate any and all sums due me therefrom in the settlement of said estate, and to receive and I do thus hereby acknowledge that I have received from the said Amand E. Laible

Royal Sager died 19 August 1908 in Remus. He was born 15 August 1852 in Michigan and was a farmer. He died of valvular heart trouble and an enlarged liver. He was first married at the age of 20, had one child who was still living. His parents were Thomas Sager and Helen Douglas both born in New York. Mrs. R. Sager of Remus was the informant. His burial took place 22 August 1908 in Iosco Township, Livingston County, Michigan.
On 13 Jun 1872 when Royal was 19, he married Ellen Ferrell, daughter of Henry Ferrell & Emaline Roberts, in Handy Township, Livingston County, Michigan. Born in Oct 1852 in Michigan. Ellen died in Iosco Township, Livingston County, Michigan on 30 Jan 1919.

Death Certificate, Livingston County, Michigan, Book 2, page 146, indicates Ellen died 30 January 1919 in Iosco Township. She was a widow, 65 years eight months and 14 days old. She was born in Michigan and died of Tuberculosis. Her parents were Henry Ferrell and Emaline Roberts.

According to the 1880 census, Ellen’s parents were born in Michigan, and according to the 1900 census they were born in New York.

66252. Amanda Elizabeth Sager. Born on 2 May 1857 in Iosco Township, Livingston County, Michigan. Amanda Elizabeth died in Livingston County, Michigan, on 8 Jan 1919; she was 61.

In 1910 Amanda, widow, was living with her nephew Thomas Sager. She had had one child, no longer living.
On 19 Feb 1879 when Amanda Elizabeth was 21, she married Joseph M. Laible, son of Ferdinand Laible (ca 1822-) & Catherine Geehan (ca 1821-), in Iosco Township, Livingston County, Michigan. Born on 17 Aug 1846 in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan. Joseph M. died in Iosco Township, Livingston County, Michigan, on 29 Sep 1886; he was 40. Buried in Wright Cemetery, Iosca Township.
