Obituary
Funeral services for Cuma Conkle, 92, of Brashear will be held Saturday afternoon December 15, 1979 at two o'clock in the United Methodist Church in Brashear. The Rev. Beryl Cragg of Brashear will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Brashear cemetery. Miss Conkle died Wednesday afternoon December 12, 1979 at 5:25 in the Adair County Nursing Home where she had been a patient since March 1, 1977.
Born June 27, 1887 north of Brashear, she was the daughter of John and Martha Brashear Conkle. Miss Conkle spent her entire life in the Brashear area. She was a member of the Brashear United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two cousins, Mrs. Lester Ross of Kirksville and Mrs. Homer Wells of Lensburg, Kansas. She was preceded in death by one brother.
The body is at Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Brashear where it will remain until noon Saturday when it will be taken to the church. Bearers will be W.A. Black, Archie Buress, Gene Lyons, Clarence Sleeth, Leonard Harbur and Bob Dodson.
