Newaygo County Marriage Records indicate Orly L. Siders married Helen V. Crofoot on 27 November 1919 in Grand Rapids. He was 28, a resident of Garfield Township, a laborer and was born in Ohio. She was 19, lived in Everett Township and was born in Michigan. His parents are John Siders and Minnie Horne, and hers are George Crofoot and Abbie L. Fry. Daniel Truman, clergyman, married them with Audon K. Fritry and Mrs. Thomme Frity of Grand Rapids as witnesses. Book 5, page 4.

SIDERS - Mr. Orley L. Siders, 83, of 81 Water St. Newaygo, passed away Saturday. He was a lifetime resident of Newaygo and a veteran of World War I. Surviving are his wife Helen; one son Charles of Edwardsburg; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Hoxie of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Bertha Penland of Newaygo; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 PM from the Mc Kinley Funeral Home in Newaygo with Rev. Paul E. Robinson officiating. Interment in Newaygo Cemetery under the auspices of the Newaygo VFW Post 4249. Relatives and friends may call at the chapel.
