Hattie Horn (64265) & Isaiah Barlet
66519. Minnietta Horn. Born on 19 Oct 1871 in McKay, Ashland County, Ohio. Minnietta died in 1938. Buried in Newaygo Cemetery.

An email received 10 January 2002 from Kathryn Siders Van Auken indicates where she found relevant records. “At the Ashland County Courthouse in the Probate office we found the record of the marriage of John H. Siders and "Etta" Horn on November 21, 1887 by J. B. Berger and received and recorded on December 6, 1887 by J. Alberson, Probate Judge. Hand written on the record was "Consent of guardian on file with court". I have requested a copy of the consent of guardian that is on file. The head of the office is going to go to the musty old files and get it for me and call me so I can go back and get a copy of it. How exciting!!! Also on the record the age of 18 was crossed out and 16 is hand written in. However we believe that Minniette was actually only 14 or 15 years old. The reason we believe this is because of her mother's death date and the fact that we could not find any birth record of Minnie and think she was illegitimate. Her name was Etta on the marriage record, however all other references to her is as Minnie or Minnietta. We photocopied the record and have it. It is file #8638. Then we found the marriage record of John Horn and Elizabeth Grubaugh on January 17, 1851 by David Copher (?) J.P. filed January 20, 1851. The license was applied for on January 16, 1851. We have a photocopy of this also . This is file # 1019.”
