Childerich, also spelled Childeric, son of Merovech, king of the Franks in Gaul (458-459, and 463-481).
ca 463 Childerich I married Basina of Thuringia. Born ca 438/440. Basina died aft 470.
Basina, deserted her husband, King Basinus of Thuringia. Childerich had been exiled by his subjects and sent to Thuringia where he enjoyed the hospitality of King Basinus. When Childerich returned to Gaul, he took Basinus’s wife with him.
