Sarah married John Calkins (3292) , son of Dea. Hugh Calkins (1332) (ca 1603-Jun 1690) & Ann (ca 1605-Jun 1688). Born ca 1634 in Waverton, Cheshire. John died in Norwich, CT Jan 1702/3.213 Buried in Old Town Cemetery, Norwich.

From Frances Manwaring’s History of Norwich, Connecticut:
        “John Calkins, the oldest son of Hugh, was probably born about 1634. He was old enough to be summoned to work, with other settlers, on the mill-dam at New London in 1652. He married, at New London, Sarah, daughter of Robert Royce, and his oldest child, Hugh, was bom at that place before the removal to Norwich.
    “John Calkins was one of the selectmen of Norwich in 1671, and on the jury of the county court so late as 1691. He died Jan. 8, 1702-3. Sarah, his relict, died May 1, 1711, aged 77 years. They had three daughters that lived to maturity, Sarah, Mary, and Elizabeth, who married in the same order, Thomas Baldwin, Samuel Gifford, and Samuel Hyde.
    “They had also three sons, older than the daughters.”

John lived in New London and in 1652 helped to build the first mill dam there. He was later in Norwich where he served as selectman in 1671 and as a juror as late as 1691.47

On 20 Nov 1660 Nehemiah married Hannah Morgan, daughter of James Morgan (ca 1607-1685) & Margery Hills (16 Jun 1611-28 Apr 1690), in New London, CT.90 Born on 18 Jul 1642 in Roxbury, MA.90 Hannah died in Wallingford, CT, on 12 Dec 1706; she was 64.90

In Jun 1656 Jonathan first married Mary Spinning, daughter of Humphrey Spinning (-bef 29 Sep 1656) & Elizabeth [Spinning], in Norwich, CT. Mary died ca 1658.55

On 4 Jun 1660 Jonathan second married Deborah Calkins (3295) , daughter of Dea. Hugh Calkins (1332) (ca 1603-Jun 1690) & Ann (ca 1605-Jun 1688), in Norwich, CT.213 Born on 18 Mar 1645 in Gloucester, MA.55 Deborah died in New London, CT, on 25 Nov 1717; she was 72.

9 Jan 1666/7 Samuel first married Hannah Churchill (10284) , daughter of Josiah Churchill (ca 1613-1 Jan 1685/6) & Elizabeth Foote (3436) (16 Jan 1617-8 Sep 1700), in New London, CT.150 Born on 1 Nov 1644 in Wethersfield, CT.150 Hannah died in Wallingford, CT bef Jun 1690.

On 6 Jun 1690 Samuel second married Sarah Baldwin (13185) , daughter of John Baldwin (4491) (1593-Jun 1681) & Mary Bruen (5651) (ca Jun 1634-2 Sep 1670), in Wallingford, CT.90 Born ca Sep 1655 in Milford, CT. Sarah was baptized in First Church of Milford, on 25 Sep 1655.64 Sarah died in Wallingford, CT on 11 Jan 1729.90

On 27 Oct 1673 when Nathaniel was 34, he first married Esther Moss (6359) , daughter of Cpl. John Moss (2491) (ca 1604-31 Mar 1707) & Abigail Charles (-ca 1656), in Wallingford, CT.90,55 (The marriage record does not give the bride’s surname). Born 2 Jan 1653[/4] in New Haven, CT.56 Esther was baptized on 2 Jan 1653.55 Esther died in Wallingford, CT on 19 Jun 1677.90

On 21 Apr 1681 when Nathaniel was 42, he second married Sarah Lathrop, daughter of Hon. Samuel Lathrop (ca 1622-19 Feb 1700) & Elizabeth Scudder (31 Jul 1625-1 Mar 1699/1700), in Wallingford, CT.90 Born in Oct 1655 in Norwich, CT.55 Sarah died in Wallingford, CT on 11 Nov 1706.

On 24 Aug 1707 when Nathaniel was 68, he third married Hannah Wilcoxson, daughter of Joseph Wilcoxson (ca 1636-bef 1684) & Ann Sheather, in Wallingford, CT.90 Born on 19 Jan 1666 in Killingworth, CT. Hannah died in Wallingford, CT, on 6 Feb 1708; she was 42.90

Hannah first married Peter Farnham, second Nathaniel Royce as his third wife.

On 25 Aug 1708 when Nathaniel was 69, he fourth married Abigail Cook, daughter of Nathaniel Cook (ca 1625/1627-19 May 1688) & Lydia Vore (-14 Jun 1698), in Wallingford, CT.90 Born 1 Mar 1659/60 in Windsor, CT.173

Abigail first married Joshua Pomeroy as his second wife, second David Hoyt as his third wife, and third Nathaniel Royce as his fourth wife.

After her second marriage, Abigail suffered in the destruction of Deerfield 29 Feb 1704, was carried to Canada, but came back and married Nathaniel Royce.25

On 15 Dec 1669 Isaac married Elizabeth Lathrop, daughter of Hon. Samuel Lathrop (ca 1622-19 Feb 1700) & Elizabeth Scudder (31 Jul 1625-1 Mar 1699/1700), in New London, CT.25 Born in Mar 1648 in New London, CT.55 Elizabeth died ca 1690.55

On 15 Dec 1669 when Ruth was 24, she first married John Lathrop, son of Hon. Samuel Lathrop (ca 1622-19 Feb 1700) & Elizabeth Scudder (31 Jul 1625-1 Mar 1699/1700), in New London, CT.55 Born ca 1645 in Boston, MA. John was baptized in Boston, MA, on 7 Dec 1645.25 John died in Wallingford, CT on 26 Aug 1688.

On 12 Feb 1689 when Ruth was 43, she second married Sergt. Abraham Doolittle, son of Sergt. Abraham Doolittle (2 Aug 1620-11 Aug 1690) & Joan Alling (ca 1617-bef Jul 1663), in Wallingford, CT.90 Born 12 Feb 1649[/50] in New Haven, CT.56 Abraham was baptized in First Congregational Society, New Haven, on 24 Apr 1657.55 Abraham died in Wallingford, CT on 10 Nov 1732.90
