Daniel was schoolmaster in Roxbury after leaving college perhaps at Cambridge, but soon removed to Salem, where he was a physician. He served in Philip’s war, at least in the Narraganset campaign, 1675, as chief surgeon.25

Ca 1662 Daniel married Bethia Mitchelson, daughter of Edward Mitchelson & Ruth Bushell. Born on 6 Dec 1642 in Cambridge, MA.17 Bethia died on 24 Oct 1719; she was 76.17
