Sarah was named in her father’s will of 1682/3, probably married. It has been suggested her husband was Joseph Studley, but evidence has not been found.16

On 4 Apr 1678 Miriam married John Curtis (7049) , son of Richard Curtis (2634) (ca 1620-15 Oct 1693) & Ann Hallet (2686) (ca 1628-bef 1692), in Scituate, MA.52 Born on 9 Dec 1653 in Scituate, MA.52 John died in Scituate, MA.47

John inherited the homestead and continued farming and fishing.47

From Deane’s History of Scituate:53
    John married Miriam, daughter of William Brooks 1678, and had children, Mercy born 1678-9, Hannah 1681, William September 15, 1683. His only son William married Rachel, daughter of Dea. Samuel Stodder, 1707, and had children, John born 1708, Samuel 1711, Rachel 1712, William 1714, Rachel 1717, Samuel 1719, Elizabeth 1722. The last son, Samuel married Rachel Briggs 1745, and his son Samuel married Ruth Nash 1777, and Ammiel, son of the latter, is living in Scituate [in 1831].

(Is this the John Curtis who married Ruth (Joy) Low, widow of John Low on 21 Oct 1719 in Hingham? That John Low was the first cousin of of Rachel Stodder who married John Curtis’s son William.)

Evidence for Deborah’s marriage to Robert Stetson had not been found.14 Robert’s wife’s name was Deborah since son Peleg’s Pembroke death record names his parents Robert and Deborah.
