Samuel is the only known child of James Northam. Samuel removed from Hartford to Hadley, thence about 1686 to Deerfield, and before 1709 to Colchester. He was a townsman of Colchester, elected 13 Dec 1709.47
Ca 1674 Samuel married Mary Dickinson (10310) , daughter of Sergt. John Dickinson (3482) (ca 1624-19 May 1676) & Frances Foote (3440) (ca 1629-ca 1681), in Hatfield, Hampshire County, Massachusetts.47 Born ca 1650 in Wethersfield, CT.150 Mary died in Colchester, CT on 16 Mar 1708.
