6 Jan 1674/5 Mercy married Maj. John Bradford (4159) , son of Maj. William Bradford (1827) (17 Jun 1624-20 Feb 1703/4) & Alice Richards (1664) (ca 1629-12 Dec 1671), in Plymouth, MA.63 Born 20 Feb 1652/3 in Plymouth, MA.63,62 John died in Kingston, MA on 8 Dec 1736.182 Buried in Anc. Burial Ground, Kingston.

John was a Major of the Plymouth Forces. He was the first deputy from Plymouth to General Court, 1687; deputy to General Court 1689-91. Selectman Mar 1708/9. Representative to the General Assembly at Boston 1719. He built his home about 1674 a little northwest of Kingston landing—the “Bradford House” in Kingston. He inherited form his father his grandfather’s manuscript “Early HIstory of Plymouth” and large tracts of land upon which he dwelt. The manuscript was loaned to a friend, never returned and lost for years. Later it was found in England, and is now in the State Capitol, Boston. John gave land for the minister’s home, church, and school, and 11 acres of woodland for permanent use of the ministry.171

John and Mercy were admitted to the Plymouth church in 1690 [Plym. Ch. Rec., 1:268]. They were still members in 1703 (John is recorded as "dismist") [Plym. Ch. Rec., 1:191, 1:192].

On 20 Dec 1692 when Joseph was 35, he married Mehitable Wilder (4390) , daughter of Edward Wilder (1754) (ca 1619-18 Oct 1690) & Elizabeth Eames (3520) (ca 1624-9 Jun 1692), in Hingham, MA.45 Born ca 1661 in Hingham, MA.45 Mehitable died aft 1716.

In 1709 Mehitable was acquitted on witchcraft charges.31 Over sixty signed the following document: “Hingham the 7th Feb. 1708-9. Where as we the underwritten have heard that there are scandalous reports of the widow Mahatabel Warran of Plymouth, we, knowing that she was brought up in the place, and in her younger time had been a person of great affliction, before she was married, and hath lived in this towne divers years in her widowhood, and we never have had any suspition nor have ever heard that any amongst us have had the least suspition that ever she was guilty of the sin of being a witch or anything that may occation such suspition of her.”13

On 16 Dec 1686 when Patience was 26, she married Samuel Lucas, son of Thomas Lucas, in Plymouth, MA.298 Born on 15 Sep 1661 in Plymouth, MA.62 Samuel died in Plymouth, MA 17 Jan 1715/6.63

On 19 Jan 1688 when Elizabeth was 25, she married Josiah Finney, son of John Finney (ca 1603-aft 1682) & Elizabeth Bailey, in Plymouth, MA.298 Born 11 Jan 1660/1 in Barnstable, MA.245,62 Josiah died in Plymouth, MA on 2 Jan 1727. Buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, Plymouth.

Josiah and Elizabeth were admitted to the Plymouth church 28 May 1710 [Plym. Ch. Rec., 1:211]; their seven children were bp. 16 Jul 1710 [Plym. Ch. Rec., 1:240].

On 22 Apr 1697 when Benjamin was 27, he first married Hannah Morton (13598) , daughter of Ephraim Morton (4641) (27 Jan 1648/9-18 Feb 1731/2) & Hannah Finney (2 Sep 1657-bef 3 Aug 1730), in Plymouth, MA.298 Born on 7 Nov 1677 in Plymouth, MA.63 Hannah died in Plymouth, MA, on 3 Nov 1715; she was 37.63

On 25 Oct 1716 when Benjamin was 46, he second married Esther Barnes, daughter of Jonathan Barnes (ca 1642-20 Aug 1714) & Elizabeth Hedges (21 May 1647-15 Dec 1731), in Plymouth, MA.298 Born on 18 Feb 1682 in Plymouth, MA.25 Esther died in Plymouth, MA, on 1 Nov 1770; she was 88.298
