On 4 Dec 1641 Mary married Gov. Thomas Hinckley, son of Samuel Hinckley (ca 1589-Oct 1662) & Sarah Soole (ca 1600-18 Aug 1656), in Barnstable, MA.62,170 Born in 1618 in England.53 Thomas died in Barnstable, MA in 1706.53

“He was an assistant and magistrate may years. He was elected Governor 1680, and continued annually in that office until the charter of the Colony was cancelled, and the union with Massachusetts took place in 1692: with the exception of 1686 and 7, (under Andros, General Bovernor), when he was one of the Council; and too good a patriot, we may add, to approve of the tyranny of Andros.”53

Thomas probably came with his father in 1633 to New England. He was representative for Barnstable in 1645, and in 1658 chosen an Assistant of the Colony, the first Deputy-Govenor in 1680, and Governor from 1681 to 1692, when the Massachusetts Charter absorbed the old Colony.25

1662. Maj. John Richards. Born ca 1625 in Pitminster, Somerset. John was baptized in Pitminster, Somerset, on 13 Feb 1625.16 John died on 2 Apr 1694.25

John was estblished in 1649 at Arowsic Island, Kennebeck, to trade with the Inians. He removed in 1653 to Boston, but had two years before been at London. He had no children by either of his wives. He was Lieut.-Capt., and Major; representative 1671 through 1673 for Newbury, 1675 for Hadley, and 1679-1680 for Boston. He was speaker this last year and nexed elected Assistant until the coming of Andros. Savage25 writes that he was “a high friend of liberty, named counsellor in the new charter, became a judge of the Supreme Court, and died very suddenly.”25
On 3 May 1654 John first married Elizabeth Hawkins, daughter of Capt. Thomas Hawkins, in Boston, MA.25 Elizabeth died on 1 Nov 1691.25

Born ca 1629 in Pitminster, Somerset.16 Alice was baptized in Pitminster, Somerset, on 7 Apr 1629.16 Alice died in Plymouth, MA on 12 Dec 1671.62 “on the 12^th Day of December 1671 Mistris Allice Bradford Junir: Changed this life for a better, about the age of 44 yeeres Shee was a gracious Woman liveed much Desired Died much lamented and was buried on the 14 Day of the month aforesaid att Plymouth abovesaid”. Buried on 14 Dec 1671 in Plymouth, MA.62
Ca 1650 Alice married Maj. William Bradford (1827) , son of Gov. William Bradford (719) (ca 1590-9 May 1657) & Alice Carpenter (740) (ca 1590-26 or 27 Mar 1670/1), in Plymouth, MA.31 Born on 17 Jun 1624 in Plymouth, MA.31 William died in Plymouth, MA 20 Feb 1703/4.171

Major William Bradford “removed to Kingston, Massachusetts, was assistant deputy governor, was one of Governor Andro’s council in 1687, and was the chief military officer of Plymouth colony.”15

James was freeman in 1652. He removed about 10 years later to Hartford, and there made a freeman of Connecticut in 1664. He was chosen an Assistant in 1665, and Commissioner of the United Colony of New England in 1672 and 1675.25
Ca 1655 James married Sarah Gibbons, daughter of William Gibbons (-1655) & Urusla [Gibbons].16

Sarah was the only child of William Gibbons of Hartford.25

1667. Samuel Richards. Born ca 1634 in Dorchester, MA.16 Samuel died aft 20 Mar 1652/3.

Samuel’s mother wrote to Samuel’s brother John, 20 Mar 1652/3: “consider the trouble that I have with Samuell for he is such a trouble that none will share with me in, and if I put him out it will cost me so much athat I cannot well bear” (WP 6:268). Samuel was not named in his mother’s will dated 3 Jul 1679.16

Joseph petitioned 28 Jan 1650/1 to hame his mother administrator of his father’s well, but he wasn’t named in his mother’s will of 3 Jul 1679.16
