Joseph built the mansion called ‘Willowmere’ on High Street in Bristol which was still standing in 1926. He became a freeman of RI in 1747, and on 10 Feb 1746/7 he took the Oath of Bribery and Corruption at a town meeting held in Bristol. He was buried in thee old East Cemetery in Bristol under a stone carved with the Reynolds coat of arms which showed three foxes on the shield. The will of Joseph Reynolds of Bristol, ‘Inman’, dated 16 Feb 1757 and proved 5 Feb 1759, mentioned: sons Joseph and Samuel Reynolds; daughters Phebe wife of Daniel Waldron, and Elizabeth Watson of Plymouth deceawsed; and two grandchildren, John and Elizabeth Watson, children of his daughter Elizabeth Watson of Plymouth deceased.328

Joseph served in 1713 as a Lieut. with the Bristol Company of the Rhode Island Militia.420
On 26 Aug 1718 when Joseph was 41, he married Phebe Leonard, daughter of Maj. Samuel’s will was dated 10 Dec 1739 and proved 27 Jul 1743. It mentions his wife Hannah; daughter Priscilla Paine, wife of Capt. Stephen Paine, who was to use all of the testator’s real estate until the testator’s grandson, Royal Paine, turned 21; two grandsons, Stephen Paine and Royal Paine, both under 21; wife to be executor.328

Benjamin was appointed on 16 Sep 1722 as guardian of Thomas Rawson, over 14, son of Wilson Rawson of Uxbridge, MA. Benjamin became a freeman of RI from Bristol in 1747, and on 10 Feb 1746/7 he took the Oath of Bribery and Corruption at the town meeting in Bristol, together with his father and brother Joseph, Jr. His will, he cordwainer of Bristol and far advanced in years, dated 24 Oct 1769, proved 7 Jan 1771, named sons Benjmain, John, and Grindall Reynolds, daughters Mary Rawson, Sarah Weld, and Ann Reynolds.328
1708/9 Benjamin married Susannah Rawson (28838) , daughter of Rev. Grindal Rawson (12167) (23 Jan 1659-6 Feb 1714/5) & Susannah Wilson (13000) (1 Dec 1664-8 Jul 1748).328 Born on 3 Oct 1686 in Mendon, MA.512 Susannah died in Bristol, RI, on 11 Aug 1762; she was 75.328
