Recorded at the New York Lutheran Church.
Did Cornelius have a first wife Catherine Schmiden? At the 1741 baptism of Cornelius Witbeck (his sister Christina’s son), there were sponsors Cornelius Rees & Catherine Schmiden. This would have been just about the time after his first marriage, if he had one.
On 6 Nov 1750 when Cornelius was 31, he married Lyntje Rees (19041) , daughter of Benjamin Rees (7452) (1694-) & Geertruy Witbeck (1697-), in Linlithgo Reformed Church, Livingston.318 Born ca 1719.
Cornelius and Lyntje were first cousins. Their fathers were brothers.
Cornelius and Lyntje were witnesses at the 1779 baptism of their grandson Cornelius, son of Cornelius Snook and Geertruid Rees; also the 1782 baptism of their granddaughter Lyntje, daughter of Benjamin Rees and Anna Maria Snoch.
Lyntje was a witness at the 1747 Benjamin Brussi, her sister Catharina’s son.

Christoffel and Antoinetta were witnesses at the 1758 baptism of their neice Cathrina, daughter of Cornelis Rees and Lyntje Rees; also 1766 baptism of Marya, daughter of John M’Ferlin & Eva Smid.
ca 1747 Christoffel married Antonete Reynderse, daughter of Herman Reynderse (30 Jan 1677-) & Tryntje Van Oostrom (20 Jun 1684-). Born in 1724 in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess Co., NY. Antonete was baptized in Poughkeepsie Reformed Church, on 6 May 1724. Witnesses Machiel Van Kleeck and Anthoneet Paramentier.

On 14 Mar 1749 Andries married Susanna Maurer, daughter of Georg Maurer & Maria Elizabeth [Maurer].318 At (W.) Herdyk’s house, Andries Rees, son of Ephr., Taconic, to Susanna Maurer, daughter of Jurge. Recorded at Athens Lutheran Church. Born ca 1730.
Andries and Susanna were witnesses at the 1765 baptism of Petrus, son of Coenrad Mauer & Geertruy Smit; also the 1782 baptism of their granddaughter Susanna, daughter of Andries Rees and Christina Fritz.
