Joseph was captured by French and Indians at Deerfield 29 Feb 1704 and taken to Canada. He learned the Indian language and on his return from captivity was often employed as an interpreter.293

Rebecca was captured along with her older siblings. She learned the Indian language and acted as interpreter for missionaries. She died at Onohogwage on a mission to the Susquehanna Indians.
13 Mar 1744/5 Rebecca married Capt. Benjamin Ashley, son of Jonathan Ashley (21 Jun 1678-18 Sep 1749) & Abigail Stebbins (13 Aug 1683-6 Apr 1752), in Suffield, CT. Born 9 Feb 1714/5 in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts. Benjamin died aft 1757.
