On 30 May 1730 Martha first married Joseph Nichols (11696) , son of John Nichols (6385) (ca 1651/2-16 Dec 1721) & Abigail Kendall (3919) (30 Nov 1655-19 Nov 1721), in Framingham, MA. Born on 9 Nov 1702 in Reading, MA.81 Joseph died in Framingham, MA, on 27 Apr 1752; he was 49.

From Temple’s History of Framingham:359
    Joseph Nichols came to Framingham and married Marth How, daughter of Samuel. In his will dated 25 May 1730 Samuel How gave his house, lands, etc. to Joseph and Martha Nichols, they to support him and his wife during life. The place as, in more modern times [relative to 1887] been known as the Capt. Nathan Goddard place, where Nichols kept a tavern.

On 20 Dec 1753 Martha second married Rev. David Goddard, son of Hon. Edward Goddard (24 Mar 1674/5-9 Feb 1754) & Susanna Stone.359 Born on 26 Sep 1706.30 David died in Framingham, MA, on 19 Jan 1754; he was 47.359,30 Education: Harvard 1737.

David Goddard was ordained minister at Leicester 30 Jun 1736. He died on a visit to Framingham during the “great sickness”.30

Martha third married Dea. Daniel Stone (46840) , son of John Stone (10 Jun 1684-26 Nov 1719) & Anne Tileston (28404) (7 Dec 1681-25 Mar 1733). Born on 21 Oct 1707 in Framingham, MA.359 Daniel died in Framingham, MA, on 15 May 1783; he was 75.

Daniel first married Mary Frost; second Martha (Howe) (Nichols) Goddard, widow of Joseph Nichols and David Goddard; and third Ruth (Roper) Haynes, widow of John Haynes.
