Joseph first married Hannah Phelps, second Anne Hutchinson.

    Mr. Phelps settled in Hebron, Ct. He was a farmer. Late in life he removed with some of his children to Charlton, Saratoga Co., N.Y., where he died. Said to have been 109 years old, by one of his grand-children.

    Mr. Phelps appears to have settled in Pomfret, Ct., where his children are recorded.
    Windham probate records show that Ziba H. Phelps was adm. on estate of Mrs. Mehitable Phelps, of Hampton, and that her estate inventoried $2,391.96, 1 Nov., 1819, and that he paid over the interest of Lucy Martin, and Jonah H. and John Phelps, 30 Nov., 1821.
