On 22 Dec 1786 Comfort first married Mary Brown (50772) , daughter of William Brown (ca 1709-27 Jan 1756) & Patience Arnold (33636) (ca 1708-9 Sep 1754), in Smithfield, RI.561 Mary died in Fleming, Cayuga County, New York on 7 Sep 1818. Buried in Arnold-Comstock Cemetery, Fleming.

Comfort, son of John Arnold deceased, and Mary, daughter of William Brown deceased, were married by Welcome Arnold, Justice.561

On 19 Dec 1819 Comfort second married Judith Bowen.

Apparently, Judith’s marriage to her first husband Warren Freeman was dissolved when she married Comfort, but her marriage with Comfort was one of convenience. After his death (and perhaps sometimes while he was alive), she returned to Warren.
