    Samuel Collamer enlisted at the age of 21 in Capt. Slocum’s Company, Col. Josh Williams’ Regiment, for service in Canada, in 1758. In 1759 he settled in Topsham, Me., and removed from that place to Georgetown, Me., in 1762. Sarah, the wife of Samuel, was appointed as guardian of the minor daughters by the Probate Court, May 13, 1766. The Deed Records show that James Thompson sold 100 acres of land in Topsham to William Collamer, Jan. 14, 1804.
