    Jonathan resided at Carver and Marshfield.
    Jonathan was a man of many business interests. He built and conducted a Furnace in Carver for 14 years. He owned a forge in Hanson and a store in East Bridgewater. In 1810 he went to Marshfield and erected a cotton factory which he carried on for 28 years. This was the first cotton factory put in operation in Plymouth County.
    His last days were spent in Scituate in the mansion now known as “The Elms” near Norwell Center.

On 22 Nov 1792 when Lydia was 21, she married Lemuel Lapham (48432) , son of Joshua Lapham (31859) (22 Dec 1710-ca 1762) & Mary Wood (30926) (5 Apr 1719-9 Mar 1770), in Pembroke, MA.395 Born on 14 Apr 1761 in Scituate, MA.195 Lemuel died in Pembroke, MA, on 20 Dec 1843; he was 82.195
