Adrian died in Kendall, Orleans County, New York, on 14 Aug 1863; he was 74. Buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Kendall.

Adrian, also spelled Adreyaen, Van Giesen, also spelled Van Geson, or Van Geison. The spelling VanGeison was standard in for descendants of Adrian. Adrian came to New York with his family between 1823 and 1825.

    In 1815 Adreyaen was one of the few men in this vicinity who owned a silver watch, of which he had to a United Stated direct tax of one dollar. About 1820 he removed to the vicinity of Romulus, Monroe County, NY.

On 23 May 1811 when Hilletje was 18, she married Edo Merselis (62421) , son of Peter Merselis (53495) (24 May 1759-4 May 1827) & Jannetje Van Winkle (62396) (16 Dec 1766-4 Oct 1844), in Acquackanonk, Passaic County, New Jersey. Born on 20 Dec 1787. Edo was baptized in Totowa, Passaic County, New Jersey, on 13 Jan 1788. Edo died on 8 Apr 1852; he was 64.
