Adrian died in Kendall, Orleans County, New York, on 14 Aug 1863; he was 74. Buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Kendall.

Adrian, also spelled Adreyaen, Van Giesen, also spelled Van Geson, or Van Geison. The spelling VanGeison was standard in for descendants of Adrian. Adrian came to New York with his family between 1823 and 1825.

    In 1815 Adreyaen was one of the few men in this vicinity who owned a silver watch, of which he had to a United Stated direct tax of one dollar. About 1820 he removed to the vicinity of Romulus, Monroe County, NY.
