Isaac A. Justice died last Sunday night at his home in Youngstown after an illness of two months with heart trouble, superinduced by dropsy. Mr. Justice was one of the best known men in the county and his friends were legion. The deceased was a son of John and Nancy Justice, pioneer settlers of this county, and was born in Austintown, March 16, 1837. He was educated in the Presbyterian Academy at Poland and the Mahoning Academy, in Canfield. He read law in the office of S.W. Gilson and was admitted to the bar in the fall of 1867. While living in Canfield he was elected justice of the peace and was clerk of the board of education when the union school building was erected. After removing to Youngstown in 1872 he was elected prosecuting attorney. Later he was elected city solicitor, an office he held by appointment at the time of his death. While a resident of Canfield he was prominently identified with musical matters and for many years was leader of the Presbyterian church choir. In 1860 Mr. Justice was united in marriage with Miss Dorcas Hitchcock, of Canfield, and ten years later she died, leaving two children. He was again married , in 1871 to Miss Helen Warner, of Lorain county, who died in 1881. Later he married Miss Rose Warner, who survives, as does the following named children – Mrs. Mansell, of Wheatland, Mrs. George Morrison, of South Dakota; Charles Justice, of Pittsburg; Frank, Clara and May of Youngstown.
