Born on 14 May 1785 in Churchtown, Columbia County, New York.645 Dieterich was baptized in St Thomas Lutheran Church, Churchtown, on 12 Jun 1785.645 Dieterich, son of Wilhelm Deinhard & Anna, witnesses Peter V. de Bogert & Lena [K822]. Dieterich died in Tioga County, New York aft 1860. Occupation: Laborer.

Diederick and Catharina were witnesses at the 1809 baptism of their neice Catharina, daughter of Jermias Deinhard & Lena Jung.

It appears that Diedrick changed his name to Richard when he moved to Tioga County. Diedrich married Lucretia Decker, and Richard was born in Columbia County and married to Lucretia in 1850.

According to the 1855 census, Richard and Lucretia moved to Tioga about 1822.
