Newaygo County Marriage Records, book 5, page 68 state that Helen Race married Gerald B. Teegardin on 23 October 1927 in Newaygo. He was 23, resided in Fremont and was a laborer. She was 21, lived in Newaygo and was a teacher. Both were born in Michigan. His parents were Charles Teegardin and Inez Spooner. Hers were Arthur Race and Alba Gillett. Barbara Spooner of Fremont and Lorrell E. Perrault of Muskegon were witnesses with Daniel Truman, cleryman, officiating.
