“The aged Samuel Burr died Nov. 7, 1763” (1st Ch. Rec. Hart.). He was probably a bachelor, as his will mentions neither wife nor children. Will dated June, 1758, proved 1764, mentions Samuel Burr, son of Thomas, Jr., Daniel Burr, son of his brother Daniel of Windsor, Ct., Moses Burr, son of his brother Thomas, his sister Abigail, wife of Timothy Phelps, Elijah Spencer, son of his sister Ann, his sister Ann, wife of Obadiah Spencer, his sister Violet, wife of his brother Daniel, and gave to Thomas Burr, Jr., one half his stock.

Joseph removed from Hartford to Long Island in 1714, and settled at Huntington. From there removed to Hempstead Harbor about 1719. He was a atanner by trade, and had a tannery at “Mosquito Cove” (now Glencove). He bought of Richard Albertson a farm of 80 acres March 29, 1740, for £360.
Ca 1737 Joseph second married Mary Wood, daughter of Jeremiah Wood (say 1670-) & Mary James, in Hempstead, Nassau County, New York.91 Born on 20 Feb 1704.91 Mary died on 11 May 1792; she was 88.91

Isaac was admitted to full communion at the First Chruch of Hartford, March 7, 1724/5. On Oct. 25, 1725, he was ordained the second pastor of the Presbyterian Church at Worcester, Mass. In November, 1744, he received a call from Windsor, Ct, to which place he removed and continued as head of the church there until his death in 1752. Estate £2,000. John E., Jonathan, and Prudence became insane, and Henry Allen, Esq., of Windsor and Pliny Hillyer, Esq. were appointed their conservators.
Isaac married Mary Eliot, daughter of Hon. John Eliot (28 Apr 1667-25 Mar 1719) & Mary Wolcott. Born ca 1700 in Windsor, CT. Mary was baptized in Windsor, CT, on 12 May 1700.91

(Sometimes Violet is said to be Violet Butler, daughter of Thomas and Abigail (Shepard) Butler, but Thomas’s will of 23 Aug 1725 did not mention his daughter Violet (b. 21 Sep 1706) although it did mention eight other children. His daughter Violet probably died young.)
