On 27 Nov 1679 Joseph second married Sarah Faxon, daughter of Thomas Faxon (ca 1628-25 May 1662) & Deborah Thayer (ca 1633-31 May 1662), in Roxbury, MA.78 Born on 28 Aug 1659 in Braintree, MA.47 Sarah died on 14 Oct 1745; she was 86.47 Buried in Central Burial Ground, West Roxbury.

On 22 Jan 1678 when John was 24, he first married Hannah Portise, daughter of Robert Portise & Alice Greenwood, in Roxbury, MA.78 Born say 1659 in Boston, MA. Hannah died in Roxbury, MA on 10 Dec 1721.78

On 6 Jun 1723 when John was 70, he second married Margaret Hicks, daughter of Zachariah Hicks (ca 1628-5 Aug 1702) & Elizabeth Sills (ca 1636-12 Sep 1730), in Cambridge, MA.17 Born on 3 Jul 1668 in Cambridge, MA.17 Margaret died aft 1732.17

On 28 Aug 1672 when Elizabeth was 16, she first married Lieut. Samuel Gore (3707) , son of John Gore (1483) (ca 1604-4 Jun 1657) & Rhoda (ca 1610-22 Aug 1693), in Roxbury, MA.78 Born on 11 Jun 1651 in Roxbury, MA. Samuel died in Roxbury, MA, on 4 Jul 1692; he was 41.17 Buried in Eustis Street Burial Ground, Roxbury. Occupation: carpenter.

For several years Samuel was a selectman of Roxbury.

Bef 1696 Elizabeth second married Lieut. Benjamin Tucker, son of Robert Tucker (ca 1604-9 Mar 1682) & Elizabeth Allen.17 Born ca 1645 in Weymouth, MA.17 Benjamin died in Roxbury, MA 27 Feb 1713/4.17 Buried in Eustis Street Burial Ground, Roxbury.

On 31 Oct 1723 when Elizabeth was 67, she third married John Smith, son of Capt. John Smith (ca 1623-27 Apr 1695) & Sarah Woodward (ca 1621-7 Feb 1707/8), in Roxbury, MA.17 Born ca 1653 in Hingham, MA. John was baptized in Hingham, MA, on 18 Sep 1653.45 John died in Roxbury, MA 9 Jan 1728/9.17 Buried in Eustis Street Burial Ground, Roxbury.

John first married Hannah Parke; second Elizabeth (Weld) (Gore) Tucker, widow of Samuel Gore and Benjamin Tucker; and third Mary Smith, widow of another John Smith.

    John, as appears by Rev. Peter Hobart’s diary, married in Hingham 8 May 1645 Sarah, daughter of Dea. Ralph Woodward and of Mary, his wife. Freeman 1647. Lieutenant 1661; was in active service during King Phillip’s War, and had command of a fort; was elected “captain of our foote company of Souldjers” Mar 1683; selectman in 1663, 1775, 1670, 1674, 1675, 1682, and 1683; representative in 1683, 1684, 1685, and 1687; an Assistant in 1686, and continuing to serve until the new charter. Resided on Main, opposite Leavitt Street, about where the store of F. Burr & Co. now [1893] resides. His will was dated 27 Apr 1685, proved 6 Jun 1695. Inventory £1,106 18s.

22 Mar 1681/2 Mary married Joshua Gardner, son of Thomas Gardner & Lucy Smith, in Roxbury, MA.78 Born ca 1659. Joshua was baptized in Roxbury, MA, on 8 May 1659.17 Joshua died in Brookline, MA on 12 Jul 1700.17

On 11 Nov 1685 when Hannah was 19, she married William Heath (5506) , son of Peleg Heath (2202) (ca 1624/5-Nov 1671) & Susanna Barker, in Roxbury, MA.78 Born 30 Jan 166[3/]4 in Roxbury, MA.78 William was baptized in Roxbury, MA, on 6 Mar 1664.17 William died in Roxbury, MA on 3 Nov 1738.17
