    Nathaniel Robbins, of Marshfield, married Hannah, the daughter of Samuel Witherell, and grand-daughter of Rev. William Witherell, and deceased in middle life, leaving 4 sons.

    Nathaniel lived in Hanover, first in the ‘Beech woods country,’ and then at the corner of Grove st, where the cellar hole to his house is yet visible. He was killed in Marshfield by the falling in of the stones of a well, on which he was at work; as the record says, Dec. 17, 1774, but as family tradition says, June 17, 1775, the fall of the stones being occasioned by the jarring of the earth, induced by the firing of the cannon at the battle of Bunker Hill.
