Daniel resided on the paternal estate, Main St. below Pear Tree Hill, Hingham. He was a large owner of real estate, and constable in 1713.

Daniel resided on the paternal homestead, Main St., below “Pear Tree Hill.” Constable in 1713.
In his will of 4 May, 1754, proved 21 March, 1755, gives to wife Sarah the “improvement of half of my dwelling-house while she lives; to eldest son Daniel all my dwelling-house excepting the right granted to my wife and other valuable lands, excepting my new house with an acre of land contiguous, and my garden-lot adjoining Deacon Solomon Cushing's shop; to son Ebenezer the house he lives in with land adjoining, also land over the river and at Turkey Hill, also my weaving tackeling and combing; to daughter Sarah Smith £53; to my two grandsons, Thomas, and Ebed Hersey, land and other valuables; to grandson Thomas Cushing, land,” etc.

19 Feb 1710/1 Sarah married Capt. John Jacob (17726) , son of Capt. John Jacob (11009) (ca 1630-18 Sep 1693) & Mary Russell (6445) (ca 1641-2 Oct 1691), in Hingham, MA.45 Born on 31 Jul 1679 in Hingham, MA.45 John died aft 1749.

John and Sarah resided in the second precinct, Hingham. He was constable 1709, selectman 1742, 1743, and 1745, representative 1726-1733, and deacon of the church. In addition to his public duties, he carried on a farm of about 200 acres, which included 130 of pasturage, 50 of mowing, etx. In 1749 he kept 10 cows, 6 oxen, 2 hourses, 38 sheep; and harvested 176 bushels of corn. At that time he paid a larger tax than any other resident of the town. He left no issue.45
