Nehemiah first married Sarah Nichols, second Hannah (Loring) Thomas, widow of Joseph Thomas.

From The Genealogy of the Cushing Family, page 41:2
    Nehemiah settled in Pembroke MA in 1711, and had a tannery there. In 1712 the first Town meeting was held in Pembroke, and he was chosen Collector of Town Rates, and Surveyor of Highways, and in Mar 1719 was chosen Town Treasurer, and served in 1724. In May 1722 he was representative to the General Court at Boston; coroner in 1739 and 1762.

As Capt. Nehemiah Cushing he commanded Pembroke’s military company for many years. 42

Hannah first married Joseph Thomas, and second Nehemiah Cushing as his second wife. Hannah and her two husbands were all second cousins; Hannah’s paternal grandmother Hannah Jacob, Joseph’s paternal grandmother Deborah Jacob, and Nehemiah’s paternal grandmother Elizabeth Jacob were sisters.

25554. Capt. Adam Cushing. Born 24 Oct 1692/3 in Hingham, MA.45 Adam died in Weymouth, MA on 21 Jan 1752.83 throat distemper. Education: Harvard 1714.

Adam was selectman of Hingham in 1720. He bought an estate at the corner of Commercial and Esses Streets, Hingham, in 1726.45 He removed to Weymouth near 1727.83 His will was made at Weymouth and proved 1752.45

“Almost immediately upon his settlement in Weymouth, from his force of character, education and reputation, he sprang into prominence and became the leading spirit in all town and parish affairs. He was almost continuously the deputy to the General Court form 1735 to 1748, and held as regularly the most important town offices. Among his other offices he held a captain’s commission in the militia, hence his military title, and was one of His majesty’s justices of the peace.”2

    Theophilus and Hannah resided on the paternal homestead, Main Street, South Hingham. He held the offices of constable and selectman for many years.
    In his will of 10 Sept. 1778, proved 25 June, 1779, which is quite lengthy, gives “to son Theophilus the home place, buildings,” etc., inc. “the house I live in;” “to son Perez land and the dwelling-house in Franklin where he resides; to Hannah Cushing the widow of my son Pyam; to daughter Emma, the wife of John Burr; to the children of my daughter Tamar, wife of Elijah Cushing of Pembroke, decd., namely, Elijah and Tamar Cushing; to grandson Robert Cushing house and land on the north side of the way leading to my mills; to grandson Henry Cushing land on the west side of the way, opposite Robert's, till it reaches the river; to grandson Seth Cushing land on the east side of the country road; to the children of my granddaughter Hannah, wife of Enoch Collamore; to the children of my granddaughter Deborah, wife of Walter Hatch; and to granddaughters Tamsen Cushing, Tamar Cushing, and Anna Cushing.”
On 18 Sep 1723 when Theophilus was 20, he married Hannah Waterman (13346) , daughter of Robert Waterman (4555) (ca 1652-18 May 1741) & Sarah Lewis (20215) (4 Mar 1660/1-30 Jan 1732), in Hingham, MA.2 Born on 22 May 1704 in Hingham, MA.45 Hannah died in Hingham, MA, on 22 Jun 1773; she was 69. From Lincoln’s History of Hingham:45
    Seth kept an inn in the dwelling now owned and occupied by heirs of William O. Lincoln, decd., on North, near Lincoln St., but removed from here, as tradition says, to Stoughton, Mass.   The foll. conveyance (abstract) may have been near the date of his removal.   "Feb. 26, 1753.   Seth Cushing of Hingham, 'Inn Holder,' in consideration of £196, current money of New England, conveys to Jedidiah Lincoln of Hingham, 'Gentleman,' all that my dwelling-house, barn, shop, outhousen and land adjoining, containing 8 acres, etc., bounded S. by the Town Street; W. by Elijah Fearing, formerly Nathaniel Fearing's estate; E. by Benjamin Lincoln and the highway leading to Broad Cove, and N. by land of the said Cushing."   Also land on the opp. side of the street by the town swamp.

    Seth kept an inn in the dwelling now [1877] owned and occupied by heirs of William O. Lincoln, on North, near Lincoln St., but removed from here, as tradition says, to Stoughton, Mass. An ancient deed, dated 26 Feb 1753, is a conveyance from Seth Cushing, inn-holder, in consideration of 196 pounds, current money of New England, to Jedidiah Lincoln, his dwelling-house and other property; which is supposed to be about the time of his removal.

Lydia was not mentioned in her father’s will, and that suggests that she had died before he wrote it in 1718, four days before he died. That could be an inadvertant omission, however, since a Lydia Cushing, otherwise unaccounted for, married at Beverly in 1726 Joshua Herrick, son of Joseph Herrick who had married Lydia’s mother Mary at Beverly in 1722, and Lydia’s sister Deborah had married at Beverly earlier in 1726 Joshua Corning.

Lydia Herrick, wife of Joshua Herrick, died 19 Aug 1736 aged about 27 years.568
On 30 Jun 1726 Lydia married Joshua Herrick, son of Capt. Joseph Herrick (ca 1666-29 May 1726) & Mary Dodge (26 May 1666-1 Aug 1719), in Beverly, MA.568 Born 25 Feb 1698/9 in Beverly, MA.568 Joshua died in Beverly, MA on 7 Dec 1782.568 Buried in Beverly, MA GR1.

Joshua first married Lydia Cushing, second Abigail Jacob.

According to his gravestone, Joshua died 7 Dec 1782 in his 84th year.568
