Francis Cushing, who removed to Maine: Sarah 1749, first wife of Dea. Elisha James: Mary 175 2, wife of Elijah Turner, Esq.: Ruth 1754, wife of Nathaniel Chittenden, and second wife of Dea. Elisha James.”53
Elisha, of the French and Indian War, resided in the old Foster house built by Dea. Hatherly in 1697/98. One of the original windows of this house is [1936] preserved in the Kent Memorial house at Norwell Village.42
