Hatherly Foster (13915) (22 Sep 1671-11 Jul 1751) & Bathsheba Turner (11347) (30 Dec 1679-6 Mar 1744), in Harwich, MA.52 Born on 28 May 1708 in Scituate, MA.52 Elisha died in Scituate, MA, on 23 Apr 1771; he was 62.52 Buried in Second Church Cemetery, Norwell.

“Dea. Elisha married Temperance Freeman of Harwich, 1739. Children, John born 1740, Bathshua 1742, Elisha 1745 , Temperance 1747, wife of Dea. Francis Cushing, who removed to Maine: Sarah 1749, first wife of Dea. Elisha James: Mary 175 2, wife of Elijah Turner, Esq.: Ruth 1754, wife of Nathaniel Chittenden, and second wife of Dea. Elisha James.”53

Elisha, of the French and Indian War, resided in the old Foster house built by Dea. Hatherly in 1697/98. One of the original windows of this house is [1936] preserved in the Kent Memorial house at Norwell Village.42
