Elisha, of the French and Indian War, resided in the old Foster house built by Dea. Hatherly in 1697/98. One of the original windows of this house is [1936] preserved in the Kent Memorial house at Norwell Village.42

On 26 Oct 1738 when Elisha was 30, he married Temperance Freeman (31087) , daughter of Benjamin Freeman (13837) (17 Jul 1685-2 Aug 1758) & Temperance Dimmock (Jun 1689-29 Sep 1773), in Harwich, MA.52 Born ca 1715 in Harwich, MA. Temperance died in Scituate, MA on 22 Jul 1777.52 Buried in Second Church Cemetery, Norwell.
