Born on 22 Sep 1671 in Dorchester, MA.25 Hatherly died in Scituate, MA, on 11 Jul 1751; he was 79.52 Buried in Second Church Cemetery, Norwell.
Hatherly was named after his Hatherly ancestors. His great grandmother Eglin’s maiden name was Hatherly, and her brother Timothy Hatherly was a leading citizen of Scituate.

Dea. Hatherly Foster was in Scituate 1698, when he married Bathshua, the daugghter of Joseph Turner, and settled on the farm at North river. The house in which his great grandson Timothy now [1831] resides, was built 1697, and is now in good repair.53
The Deacon Hatherly Foster property adjoined that of Joseph Turner on the east.42
