Deborah died in her 79th year according to her gravestone which would make her birth year about 1716. If that were correct, then her children would have been born when she was between the ages of 32 and 52. Although that could be correct, it’s more likely she was younger than 79 when she died.
On 9 Jun 1748 Deborah married Samuel Oakman Esq (38018) , son of Samuel Oakman (18608) (15 Mar 1698/9-21 Nov 1739) & Elizabeth Hatch (20277) (22 Jan 1703/4-28 Dec 1788), in Scituate, MA.52 Samuel of Marshfield married Deborah of Scituate. Born on 4 Aug 1727 in Marshfield, MA.60 Samuel was baptized in the Second Church of Scituate, on 26 Nov 1727.52 Samuel died in Scituate, MA, on 17 Jul 1791; he was 63.52 Buried in Second Church Cemetery, Norwell.

    Samuel was an active an prominent citizen of Marshfield. His name is frequent on church and town records from 1753 throught the revolutionary period to 1788. His son Melzar Turner was a noted school master. Their farm was on North River, at Union Bridge, formerly Oakman ferry, on part of which a descentant, William L. Cushing (Celia Stoddard, Zoa Oakman) now [1901] resides.
