Born on 27 Apr 1763 in Bridgewater, MA.168 Galen died in Woolwich, Sagadahoc County, Maine, on 26 Aug 1836; he was 73.

In 1789 or 1790 he settled in Woolwich, ME.168 He served in the Revolutionary Army.42
