Death of George r. Williams.
    George R. Williams, aged 63 years, passed away sturdy night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Brice Wick, of Lansing, following an operation a week ago at Sparrow hospital. The body was brought to wossso and taken to the home of his daughter, Mr. Walter Jackson, 430 Comstock Street. the funeral was held from the home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. D.R. Wolfed officiating.
    Deceased was born in Bennington and had made Owosso and vicinity his home most of his life. He was a member of the Youman lodge. He leaves the following children: Mrs. Walter Jackson, of Owosso; Mrs. Brice Swick and Mrs. J. Lingle, of Lansing and Louis, Henry and This. Williams, Mrs. O.A. Shadbolt, of this city, and Mrs. Henry Hutchngs of Perry, and william williams, of Corunna, are the brothers and sisters who survive.

Mrs. Frances A. Emans was born in Woodhull Township in 1860
    Mrs. Frances A. Emans, 74 years of age, wife of John W. Emans, and a native of Woodhull Township, expired at 2:30 o’clock Friday afternoon at her home 130 North Rowley street.
    Mrs. Emans had been failing in health for the past three or four years. She was taken seriously ill last Monday. Death was caused by an apoplectic stroke.
    Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Jennings-Lyons Chapel with the Rev. A.R. Sherman, of the Seventh Day Adventists’ Church, officiating. Interment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery.
    Born in Woodhull on April 19, 1860, Mrs. Emans was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Reed, who were numbered among the township’s first settlers. She was raised in the township and was married in 1875 at the Methodist Episcopal Church in Pittsburg to George R. Williams.
    Mr. and Mrs. Williams resided in Woodhull until they came to Owosso—40 years ago. He died on April 21, 1917.
    In 1923, Mrs. Williams was married here to Mr. Emans.
    Surviving, besides Mr. Emans, are four children. They are Mrs. Walter Jackson, Mrs. Jay Lingo and Lewis Williams, of Owosso, and Mrs. Brice Ewick, of Lansing. Two sons are deceased. Henry Williams died in 1921 and Thomas Williams died in 1918.
    Mrs. Emans leaves a sister, Mrs. Samuel Duharns, of Perry, and a brother, Jacob Reed, of Saratoga, Wyo. There are 19 grandchildren.

She was born 10 August 1865 in Bennington Township, Shiaswassee County. Her father was Arad Williams, born in New York, and Harriet Monroe, born in the USA. The informant was Mrs. Thane W. Neal also of 617 Pine Street. Ida Jane was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery o 6 April 1936. The undertaker was the Jennings Lyons Chapel in Owosso.

Osaca A. Shadbolt, of 617 Pine Street, Owosso, died 22 November 1931 of a variety of causes including Chronic Nephritis and a fractured hip. He had basically been bed ridden for a lengthy period of time. He was married to Ida Jane Shadbolt, and operated a well machine. He was born 28 October 1856 in Oakland County, Michigan. His parents were Joel Shadbolt and Elizabeth Jone, birthplaces unknown. The informant was Mres. Thane W. Neal, of 617 Pine Street. Oscar was buried in Hillcrest Cemetery 24 November 1931. Jennings and Sons was the undertaker.
