9626. Martha Brackett. Born ca 1636 in Sudbury, Suffolk. Martha was baptized in All Saints, Sudbury, on 5 May 1636.301 Martha died in Braintree, MA on 4 Jul 1716.301

On 22 Nov 1655 Martha married Lieut. Robert Twelves in Boston, MA.25 Born ca 1620.301 Robert died in Braintree, MA 9 Mar 1696/7.

Robert Twelves (also spelled Tuells or Twells) of Braintree, was one of the petitioners for a grant of what Savage calls ‘did not belong to our government honestly to give (the region possessed by Gorton and his fellow misbelievers) in Oct. 1645.’ He was freeman 1663, ensign 1671, lieutenant 1684. His will of 18 Mar 1697, proved 6 May 1698 shows that Mary had another husband Mr Clarke, and that three then unmarried daughters were Hannah, Sarah, and Abigail.25

It has been suggested that John was the son of Robert & Judith (Wyles) Twelves, of Cambridge and Braintree, England.
