Anna first married Anthony Stetson, second James Briggs as his third wife.

Widow Anna and widower James Briggs both had property and grown children when their marriage was contemplated, and they entered into a prenuptutal contract which is referred to in James’ will.42
On 28 Mar 1717 Anna first married Anthony Stetson (42621) , son of Robert Stetson (22751) (9 Dec 1670-1760) & Mary Collamore (49255) (10 Nov 1667-), in the Second Church of Scituate.52 Born on 12 Sep 1693 in Scituate, MA.52 Anthony was baptized in the Second Church of Scituate, in 1695.52 Anthony died in Scituate, MA in 1747.284 Occupation: Cordwainer.

Anthony (a great grandson of the Cornet) and Anna lived on ‘the Molly Stetson farm’ on the north side of Buttonwood or Curtis Hill.42

Cornelius Briggs (16085) (1647-20 Oct 1694) & Mehitable Allyn (6596) (ca 1648-), in First Parish Church of Scituate.52 Born 2 Mar 1683[/4] in Scituate, MA.52 James died in 1754.42 Occupation: cordwainer. James first married Elizabeth Garrett, second Hannah Stowell, and third Anna (Smith) Stetson, widow of Anthony Stetson.

James was born in the Russell house at ‘the green bush.’ Before 1716 he resided on the main road in the South Parish, northwest of Wilson Hill. In 1725 James purchased from his neighbor Dea. George King lands in Ashford, CT, that had one been in the possession of James’ father and his uncle Capt. John Briggs.42

20292. Joseph Smith. Born say 1699. Joseph was baptized in Scituate, MA, on 8 Jun 1712.52 Joseph died in Scituate, MA 1 Jan 1738/9.

Joseph was “brought to baptism by his uncle Israel And aunt Elizabeth Hatch” his mother’s sister.52 After his father’s death Joseph was probably cared for by Israel and Elizabeth Hatch.
On 1 Oct 1719 Joseph married Rachel Randall (9897) , daughter of Isaac Randall (3336) (ca 1658-10 Jul 1759) & Deborah Buck (16247) (15 Nov 1670-12 Jun 1760), in the Second Church of Scituate.52 Born on 13 Aug 1701 in Scituate, MA.52
