    Loring resided in Falmouth, ME, where he was quite a prominent man. He enlisted 15 May 1775 in Capt. David Bradish’s Co., in Col. Phinney’s Regt., Falmouth, and died in the service 9 Oct 1777.
On 14 Jan 1750 when Loring was 28, he married Mary Parker, daughter of Jacob Parker (24 Sep 1706-bef 1750) & Mary Jordan (ca 1709-), in Falmouth, Cumberland County, Maine.2 Born ca 1724 in Provincetown, MA.

Loring Cushing married his step-sister Mary Parker; Loring’s father Ezekiel, a widower, and Mary’s mother Mary, a widow, were married four years before Loring and Mary married.

From William A. Otis’s Memoir of the Otis Family:168
    Dr. Otis was the third physician of Scituate, and commenced practice about 1760. He was in the French War and served as surgeon’s mate at Crown point in 1758, in Colonel Bayley’s regiment. In 1774 he was on a committee appointed by the town, which reported that ‘the arbitrary measures of the British Pariament are subversive of those rights and liberties which our fathers have handed down to us.’ He was also one of the Scituate Committee of Inspection, who reported all who were inimical to the Continental Association.

James and Lucy lived in the Isaac Otis house beside Stony Cove Brook. He began to practice medicine about 1760, after having been in 1756 a Surgeon’s Mate in the French War.42

He was in the Revolutionary War and a surgeon both on board the sloop of war Ranger and with the American forces at Ticonderoga.

Noah was baptized in First Parish Church of Scituate, on 30 Jun 1734.52 Noah died in Scituate, MA on 22 Dec 1798.52 Buried in Union Street Cemetery, Scituate. Occupation: hatter.

    Noah was one of the Committee of Correspondence and of Inspection of Scituate during the Revolution, and had command of a body of men who kept guard day and night. He served as private in Capt. Wm. Barker’s Co.; this regiment ws ordered to march on an alarm to Bristol, RI.

Noah and Phoebe resided at the Harbor Village.42
