On 9 May 1745 when Esther was 25, she married Rev. Thomas Clap Esq. (44790) , son of John Clap (25447) (31 Sep 1677-bef 1722) & Hannah Gill (28554) (23 Oct 1681-aft Apr 1739), in Scituate, MA.52 Born on 11 Nov 1705 in Scituate, MA.52 Thomas died in Scituate, MA, on 31 May 1774; he was 68.52 Buried in South Parish Cemetery, Norwell. Education: Harvard 1725.310

Thomas “was the minister of the first Church of Taunton a few years; afterward a Judge of the Court of Plymouth County, and a Colonel of the militia.”53
