Thomas “was the minister of the first Church of Taunton a few years; afterward a Judge of the Court of Plymouth County, and a Colonel of the militia.”53
On 9 Sep 1731 when Thomas was 25, he first married Mary Leonard, daughter of Judge George Leonard.310 Born 14 Jan 1713/4. Mary died in Scituate, MA on 27 Jun 1741.52 Mary died of measles.

John Chandler (30551) (18 Oct 1693-7 Aug 1762) & Hannah Gardiner (20765) (11 Dec 1699-5 Jan 1738), in Scituate, MA.52 Born on 23 May 1719 in New London, CT. Esther died in Scituate, MA, on 20 Jul 1790; she was 71.52 Buried in Clapp Burying Ground, Greenbush.

Esther, also called Hester, Chandler. She was of Worcester when she married Thomas.52
