Born on 2 Feb 1731 in Scituate, MA.52 At the age of 1, Ignatius was baptized in First Parish Church of Scituate, on 30 Jul 1732.52 Ignatius died in Scituate, MA, on 21 Jan 1802; he was 70.52 Buried in South Parish Cemetery, Norwell.

The residence of Ignatius and Thankful was near Halifax Hill [now Otis hill] in Scituate. He was a warm whig, and took an active part in the Revolution; thereby losing his property and his reason. He remained insane until his death. He was one of the members of the Committee of Inspection of Scituate during the Revolution.
Ignatius was an ardent Whig and very active in the Revolutionary cause.42
Ignatius died in his 70th year.52
