Elisha and Abigail lived near Stony Cove Brook in a house which had belonged to his grandfater James Briggs, who had died there in 1754 leaving the property to his eldest son John, who lived there and left the property to Elisha. He was a Revolutionary soldier.42

In 1831, widow “Lydia and only daughter Lydia (with her husband Samuel A. Esq. son of Hon. Charles, jr.) occupy the place of Jesse [one fourth mile north-west from Union bridge.”53

In 1850 Lydia was living with her daughter Lydia Turner’s family in South Scituate.
On 28 Oct 1792 when Lydia was 29, she married Elisha Turner (39705) , son of Jesse Turner (20273) (24 Dec 1704-) & Lydia Neal (31506) (24 Feb 1715/6-), in the Second Church of Scituate.335 Born ca 1760 in Scituate, MA. Elisha died in Scituate, MA on 7 Mar 1823.52

Elisha inherited his father’s house.42 He had deceased by the time of Deane’s History.53 Elisha died age 63.52
