110,52 “Benjamin Toolman & Elizabeth palmer widow * were married August the 4th 1709 [signed] Mr. Nathaniell Eells.” At * “of Bezaleel Palmer” was interlined, and a footnote reads, “She was Elizabeth Perry d. of wm Perry. S.D. (probably S. Deane).
Born on 6 Dec 1676 in Dorchester, MA. Benjamin was baptized in Dorchester, MA, on 28 Jan 1676. Benjamin died in Scituate, MA in 1766.
Benjamin first married Ruth Fletcher, second Elizabeth (Perry) Palmer, widow of Bezaleel Palmer.
Capt. Benjamin Tolman came from Dorchester to Scituate in 1709. His residence was one-fourth mile south-east of the Church Hill. There he established a tannery.53 Later the tannery, forty rods east of Chruch Hill, belonged to his son-in-law, Joseph Copland.42
