Israel Smith & Elizabeth Hawkins, widow, married by Richard Waterman, Justice. Born say 1685 in Smithfield, RI. Elizabeth died in Glocester, RI on 11 Jul 1758.217

Elizabeth first married William Hawkins (a few years after Elizabeth’s brother William Arnold had married William’s sister Sarah Hawkins). Elizabeth’s second husband was Israel Smith.

    1758, Jul 1 - Will proved 1758, Jul 17. Widow Elizabeth Smith, of Glocester. Executor were sons Stephen Smith and grandson William Hawkins. To son Stephen Smith, all coopers tools that did belong to my husband. To daughters Ruth Hopins and Deborah Waid, best feather bed, equally. To daughter Elizabeth Mann, a chest of drawers. To daughter Naomi Angell, a table and 5 pounds. The rest of estate to children, equally, vix Stephen Smith, Ruth Hopkins, Deborah Waid, Elizabeth Mann, and Naomi Angell. To son Elijah Hawkins's children, nothing, he having had his part. To granddaughter, Elizabeth Hopkins, silver sleeve buttons. To granddaughter Martha Smith, sleeve buttons, etc.

On 10 Jun 1722 when Joseph was 26, he married Isabel Brown (39978) , daughter of Ens. John Brown (20422) (18 May 1662-19 Sep 1719) & Isabel Mathewson (ca 1662-aft 1719), in Providence, RI. Joseph Smith, Jr., son of Joseph (weaver), & Isabel Brown, dau. of 'Ensign' John, deceased, married by Richard Brown, Justice. Born on 17 Apr 1705 in Providence, RI.

On 9 Nov 1725 Robert married Anne Olney, daughter of Capt. Thomas Olney (7 May 1661-1 Mar 1718) & Lydia Barnes (26 Aug 1667-1722), in Providence, RI. Married by Richard Waterman. Born on 26 Mar 1700 in Providence, RI. Anne died on 3 Aug 1794; she was 94.

On 17 Jul 1726 Alice first married David Arnold (33634) , son of Eleazer Arnold (18319) (ca 1679-18 Dec 1712) & Sarah Hawkins (15924) (say 1681-), in Providence, RI. Born ca 1705. David died in Smithfield, RI on 31 Dec 1736.

On 14 May 1738 Alice second married Richard Sayles in Smithfield, RI. Born on 24 Oct 1695 in Providence, RI.

On 24 Dec 1732 William married Abigail Dexter, daughter of John Dexter (ca 1673-22 Apr 1734) & Mary Field (1 Jun 1673-Jun 1727), in Providence, RI. Married by Richard Waterman, Justice. Abigail died in North Providence, RI on 13 Dec 1792.

On 27 Apr 1729 Jeremiah married Ruth in Providence, RI. Jeremiah Smith & Ruth Smith, widow.
