Born on 19 Jan 1723 in Plympton, MA.308 Nathaniel died on 13 Nov 1788; he was 65.2 Buried in Rochester, MA. Occupation: shipbuilder.2
Nathaniel first married Jemima Ford (when he was of Marshfield), second Anna Turner, and third Lydia (Cook) Stetson, widow of Elisha Stetson.
From The Genealogy of the Cushing Family, page 68:2
Nathaniel was a ship-builder; and lived in Pembroke, Rochester and Middleboro. He was buried in Rochester, Mass. His gravestone reads: — “died 13 Nov., 1788 in his 65th year “. His will is dated 1788, and was proved in 1789. The inventory mentions “a piece of land situate on Matapoisett Harbor, for a building yard”, which he wills to his son Nathaniel Cushing.
